Windows and mirrors Tuesday May 10, 2005, 2 comments

Sometimes people ask me
to look into their eyes
and see what I can see
in the darkling internal skies

Because the eyes are the windows
to the soul behind the name
and looking once into the glow
changes them, never the same again

But when they look inside
through the windows of my mind
they turn their heads at what unhides
the strangeness that’s my kind

For what they see when they look in me
into eyes like azure gems
the mirror depths of that blue-grey sea
refect the darkness that’s in them.
