The Wizard of Oz, Revisited

The Wizard of Oz, Revisited - Flying Monkeys

Despite Michael Jackson in The Wiz (terrible!), I think the Wizard of Oz has spent far too much time being a cherished, beloved, and above all else inviolate memory of the world’s first love affair with Technicolor. It’s nice to see people revisiting Hollywood canon.

I own one of the printed comics in this series—#1, I think—as well as a sketchbook version, with notes and stuff. Wonderful visuals.

Absolutely wonderful visuals. I’d love to be exposed to more brilliance like this.

I guess I should spend more time on deviantArt, but it’s so hard to find time to do my own creating, let along basking in the glow of everyone else’s.

I am way down with that. I sometimes let myself look at Massive Black (primarily concept design, e.g., for games, movies, etc.), and then I’m inspired, and then I’m frustrated.

Commenting has ended for this post, but I'd still love to hear from you.
