Alright already Wednesday March 30, 2005, 1 comments

Fine. A hint for everyone who’s contacted my privately to find out what the hell I’m talking about.
I’d love to read what you make of it. It’s not my nature to give easy hints, so you get what I give. Let me know what it is to you, and what the whole thing is all about.
Enjoy!
A strange thing occurred last night. Continuing my madness, I can safely say I’ve found the third of nine, the most difficult yet.I suspect the search will become more and more involved and complicated, but with every success, more and more worth it.
Finding the third wasn’t the oddity however. It was in discovering that I’d already found the elusive tenth years ago. Color me stunned. Learning this definitely changed my plans, but not nearly as much as one would have suspected.
In any case, I fully intend to locate the remaining six. Each one drives me to find the next, and each is a greater challenge than the one before. Each is special in it’s own way, and I am beginning to understand that all are more important to me than I ever dreamed.
I shall continue to report my progress in this space, so be sure to watch.

I’ve found the second, with a third not far behind.
As I find more and more, and get closer to nine, I get more and more excited. Of course, it could be the spring weather, the sunshine and the lengthening days, but I like to think it’s got more to do with the search.
Let’s face it. Discovery is exciting.
Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t easy. I can’t actually think of anything I’ve done in the last 20 years that was more difficult than this. While it has seemed that the first two of nine were discovered rather quickly, it was a lot of work, and didn’t happen fast at all.
What’s going to be even more work is finding the tenth. I don’t know if anyone ever has, but damnit, I’m going to.
I’ve not felt so invigorated in a long time.
I have found one, and I am hot on the trail of another two, after which I shall only have to locate the other six.
It’ll be a series. Interestingly, anyone who was reading rain two days ago might have briefly seen the one, but I mean briefly. I decided to pull the post because I had more searching to do.
Once I’ve found all nine, I’ll start the search for a tenth, and then there’ll be a well publicized announcement and hopefully much will be clear.
Until then, I’ll keep searching, and you keep reading.
Edit (March 28, 2005 @ 3:20pm Eastern): A lot has been made of this. A number of you have asked questions about a great many things, some getting close the mark and others VERY far off.
I love that it’s generating such interest. It’s inspiring to see so much attention payed to something so seemingly mysterious.
I promise more will follow, and it will all make sense at some point. Hopefully it turns out as cool out here as it is in my head!
Thanks!

I swear to god my head is going to explode.
I haven’t been this busy in ages. It’s fun, but it’s SUPER high stress too. Things should calm down a bit next week, but not back to normal work loads for another couple of weeks.
More rain to follow.
